Colony collapse disorder (CCD) has a negative affect on agriculture and the food chain at large. Honey bees are responsible for pollinating plants, and the die off of native bees has complicated farming processes. Research from UMass Amherst suggests that pesticides and our landscaping habits are contributing to CCD. Simple changes can help our struggling native bee colonies survive and re-populate.
